Terrance Gassaway » Biography


Check your ego at the door and help yourself by helping someone else!” This is a philosophy that Mr. Gassaway has used his entire life. Educating and motivating youth has been a passion and a purpose. Mr. Gassaway began his education career in college as a substitute teacher for Greenville ISD and upon graduating college a door opened to teach full time at Phoenix Charter School which grew into a life changing 13 years of service. Opportunity for growth was extremely present during this time as Mr. Gassaway went from teaching Speech, Broadcasting, and PALS, to being named the Dallas Mavericks Teacher of the Year, then on to joining administration as Dean of Students. Once he had reached his personal goal of service at PCS another door opened to join the A+ Academy family in 2015 as College, Career and Dual Credit Coordinator. This move provided an opportunity to continue his mission of pushing students into post secondary excellence. Mr. Gassaway earned his Bachelor of Science in Radio and Television from Texas A&M-Commerce and his Master of Education Administration and Leadership from Concordia University Nebraska. He has also been in constant pursuit of a career in show business in the fields of journalism, acting, and music. Mr. Gassaway believes that anything is possible with God as the head of his life.
